World Turk Youth Union leaders’ 8th meeting opened in Baku

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva –APA. The opening ceremony of the World Turk Youth Union (WTYU) leaders’ 8th meeting took place in Baku, APA reports. Young leaders of the Turkic youth organizations are attending the meeting, which will last until May 26. Chairman of WTYU Executive Committee Akram Abdullayev said the meeting was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan and Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency. Abdullayev said WTYU made proposals to establish the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking countries and use of the united Turkic language. Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov said the meeting would be remarkable event for the young Turkic peoples. More than 50 young leaders from various countries and organizations are attending the meeting. The minister said nearly 70 international youth events were held in the country over the past fie years and nearly five thousand young people from the different countries participated at those events.
Turkey’s ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic said Turkey was giving every possible support to the young people of the Turkic world to come together. “There are many students in Turkey from the other Turkic-speaking countries. They will contribute to the development of their countries after the graduation. I believe that these young people will be leaders of the Turkic-speaking countries in future”.
