Conference on evaluation of Azerbaijan-EU Action Plan progress

Baku. Elnur Mammadli - APA. Azerbaijan National Public Committee for Euro-Integration held a conference on evaluation of the Azerbaijan-EU action Plan progress on Thursday. Chairman of the Public Committee Avaz Hasanov said all points of the implementation of Action Plan had been monitored and analyzed since its signing, APA reports. He said the national committee experts and other specialists were involved in the analysis.

Director of Economic and Political Research Center Sabir Bagirov informed the participants about the report. He said ten priority spheres were separately analyzed and evaluated on 5-point scale. The experts evaluated the first part of the report â€“ situation in the peaceful solution to Nagorny Karabakh problem as a certain progress. Bagirov said other priorities were also evaluated according to the common opinion of the experts. The situation in the fields of fair and transparent elections according the international demands, freedom and security was not changed. The report fixed certain progress in the fields of human rights, basic freedoms, supremacy of law, improvement of business and investment environment by the strengthening of anti-corruption measures, improvement of customs service, justice, regional cooperation and priorities of the economic legislation. Other members of the National Committee expressed their opinion at the conference.
