Ninth class graduate examination rules changed in Azerbaijani schools

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva – APA. Rules of graduate examinations were changed for the ninth class in Azerbaijani schools, spokeswoman of Baku Education Office Zamina Aligizi told APA. She said the pupils of ninth classes would take examination on two subjects only – native language and mathematic. They have tow answer 50 questions on the native language, literature, algebra and geometry in three-hour examination. The examinations will be held on June 5 with the test method. The pupils, who will answer at least 20 of 50 questions, will pass the examination. Non-achievers will take examination again in autumn.

Aligizi said 36 000 pupils in 326 secondary schools in Baku under the Ministry of Education would graduate from the ninth classes. The pupils of eleventh classes will take examinations on June 16 within the centralized test system on eight subjects. Nearly 25500 pupils will leave the secondary schools this year.
