8500 security forces to guard Eurovision 2009 in Moscow

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. More than 8500 police and private security services will guard Eurovision 2009 contest venues in Moscow from May 2 to 17. The organizers expected to welcome every day 5000-20000 viewers visiting Manej and Olymiysky complexes to watch the performance of 42 participants, APA reports quoting the Russian newspapers. More than 5000 police and internal troops, as well as nearly 3000 private security forces will guard them. The participants and guests expected to arrive in Moscow beginning from May 1. Their hotels and the contest venues, Manej and Olympiysky concert halls will be guarded continuously. The security forces will use special explosive-detectors and all buildings will be checked by the specially-trained dogs.
