Aysel Teymurzadeh says no love affair with Arash â€“ <font color=red>EXCLUSIVE â€“ INTERVIEW </font>

-Little time left for Eurovision-2009 song contest. Are you getting more excited?

-It is impossible without excitement. As little time left for the contest, we are working harder. We had intensive rehearsals and promo-tours. We did our best to perform perfectly.

-What about the preparation for the contest?

-We are making quite a new choreography. We are preparing this dance together with Swedish specialists. Swedish dancers will perform together with us that day. Along with Arash and me, there will be three dancers on the stage of Eurovision on May 14. I do not want to go into details of the performance, because we would like to make a surprise.

-Where are your clothes being made?

-Our clothes are being made in Sweden. We are cooperating with Larsh Valin company. Our dresses are being made perfectly. You will see quite a different Arash and Aysel on the stage. We will justify hopes of Azerbaijani people.

-In one of your interviews you said â€œI was shocked to know Arash composed a song for meâ€. What caused your astonishment?

-Of course, I was astonished. When the song was being selected, I thought only Azerbaijanis composers would present their songs. I did not know that Arash would present a song. I loved â€œAlwaysâ€ by Arash when I heard it for the first time. Everything is thought about in this song. It is impossible not to love this song. The text of the song is romantic.

-Have you ever thought â€œI would have less success without Arashâ€?

-I see no difference. No doubt, Arash has a lot of fans. He is listened much in the world, including the post-Soviet countries. But I think I would have a success, if I had performed alone. I am not weaker than himâ€¦

-How are you getting on with Arash as your duo partner? How important is the attitude of duo performers to make the duo perfect?

-Duo performers should have good relations. Moreover, they should know each other well. If you perform on the same stage, you should pay attention to this. We are good friends with Arash and believe that our friendship will be eternal. We will remain friends after Eurovision. Arash is a very positive and kindhearted man. Both Arash and I were born in the year of snake and under the zodiac sign of Taurus.

-Arash makes compliments to you in all his interviews. He says â€œAysel is very beautiful. I wrote this song only for Ayselâ€ etc. You and Arash are single. Can you fall in love one day?

-I think no, we canâ€™t. First of all, he is older than me. Secondly, we are friends, such a thing is impossible.

-There is a sentence in the song â€œYou are always in my heart.â€ Is there anybody in Ayselâ€™s heart?

-My family is always in my heartâ€¦ I think of nobody except my family.

-There are people who think â€œArash will shade Ayselâ€. What can you tell them?

--I do not think Arash will shade me. If those who say this will listen to the song attentively, they will see that I sing the main parts of the song. How can Arash shade me? My friends, who listened to the song, say â€œYou will shade Arashâ€. We will not shade each other. Everything will be fifty-fifty in our performance.

-Specialists have different views on the clip of â€œAlwaysâ€â€¦

-I do not know why they go into details of everything and do not like it. It took much labor to make this clip. The people, who watched our clip in Europe, praise it. They all say â€œIt is superâ€. Why isnâ€™t our labor appreciated in Azerbaijan? Both Arash and I think that the clip is perfect. Everybody, who watch the clip, should know that the clip was shot in a day and arranged within five days. Taking this into account, the clip is very good. The clip is dynamic. Why donâ€™t they support us before the contest? I would like our people to support talented persons like in other countries. I need the Azerbaijani people. Donâ€™t forget it!

- What has Eurovision changed in your life?

- Eurovision changed everything in my life. I didnâ€™t believe when I heard about my participation in the contest and as if I woke up in that moment. You know, not every young singer has a chance to begin career in the Eurovision contest. It is my chance and I am happy that I had occasion to achieve it. I hope that Eurovision will help me to change more in my art and to achieve more progresses.

- What do you think will you astonish Europe with â€œAlwaysâ€?

- Why not? They were already astonished. All Europeans were amazed when they heard this song for the first time. The song meets all Eurovision standards. It contains both European and Oriental elements. I am sure that we will achieve success with this cong.

- What taboos and restrictions did you make for yourself after you confirmed your participation in the Eurovision?

- There are not a lot of bans. I limited eating for several months and lost 8 kg in this period. It needs to be beauty on stage. I never had excess weight and I never have a time for eating. I will be more beautiful after the weight loss. TV shows the people more weighty. Arash and me decided to lose 7-8 kg.

-When will you leave for Moscow?

-We are leaving for Moscow today and will return to Baku after the Eurovision. Arash and me will perform the concert program on April 18 organized by presidentâ€™s daughter Leila Aliyeva. We are preparing now for this program.

-What countries do you expect to get higher points from?

-Of course, from friendly and brother Turkey. I hope Russia and Ukraine will also give us high points. I donâ€™t know what Germany and Britain will do.

-Winning the contest is also depending on the Diaspora activity too. What are you expecting from the Azerbaijani Diasporas in the representative countries, as well as in Russia?

-We have very strong Diaspora in Moscow. I think it will assist to our victory. There are many Azerbaijanis in Moscow now. I am expecting votes from each of them. We are expecting votes from all Azerbaijanis over the world. It is the honor of Azerbaijan. We must work for Azerbaijanâ€™s victory. We will do everything in a high level and we believe our compatriots will support us.

-Many participants receive various project offers after the Eurovision. If there is some project suitable for you, but demanding living outside Azerbaijan, will you agree with that?

- I have not received any project offer yet. I guess the proposals will be made after the Eurovision. I will appraise the proposal, and if it is suitable, as you mentioned, and meets all my requirements, I will accept it. I will accept it even I have to live far form Azerbaijan. I prefer to raise my homelandâ€™s name working abroad than staying in Azerbaijan and doing nothing for it. I want they know me as â€œAysel of Azerbaijanâ€.

-Do you planning promo-tours in this period?

-Yes, the program was already approved, but I canâ€™t familiarize you with it because I donâ€™t have it now.

-You joined an event last weekend at the residence of US Ambassador Anne Derse. Madame Ambassador said you would win the contestâ€¦

-Mrs. Anne Derse is very positive and beautiful woman. I like her as an ambassador and the lady. What can I say? I think ambassadors are far-sighted people. They donâ€™t saying anything in vain. It will be so as she predicted, that is Azerbaijan will win. The contest requires more things from the participant. It means that all of song, performer and show have to be perfect. If the whole of it is perfect, there is no fear for the participant.

-You promised to win. Did your change your opinion after watching the performance of your rivals, didnâ€™t you?

-I didnâ€™t change my opinion. It is not difficult to win with our performance. We are preparing the show worthy to be a winner. Everything depends on Allahâ€™s will. We will do our best.

-Every cloud has a silver lining. What country will win the contest, if not you?

-Turkeyâ€™s Hadiseâ€¦.

-Do you think so because Turkey is a friendly country or Hadise deserves it indeed?

-For both friendship with Turkey and Hadise as well. I would like to see Turkey as a winner. Norway also deserves the first place. They prepared very good song.

-Who is Aysel&Arashâ€™s rival?

-Norway is our strongest rival. Bookmakers say Norway has highest chances to win, but they also think that we will be in the top five. The time will show it.

-What will Aysel Teymourzadeh, who is preparing for a great test, wish to our readers?

-Indeed we are working hard. We are happy to do it and we need in support of everyone. Please support us and we will do our best. We are hopeful for the best performance in Moscow on May 14 and reaching the finalsâ€¦
