Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Azerbaijan, Amy Carlon, met with Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, the head of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan shared on its X account, APA reports.
“Chargé d’Affaires Amy Carlon met with Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB), and members of the CMB advisory council, representing the traditional religious confessions operating in Azerbaijan.
CDA Carlon emphasized the importance of the Washington Summit held on August 8 and underscored the significant role of religious communities in building lasting peace and a prosperous future in the South Caucasus,” the embassy’s statement said.
