The head of the Baku Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church was elected, said Vladimir Legoyda, the head of the Press Service of Russian Orthodox Church, APA reports.
Under the chairmanship of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, the meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church was held and a decision about a series of personnel changes was made. According to the decision, İerorahib Filaret (Tikhanov) has been selected as the archbishop of the Baku Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.
