First group of pilgrims from Azerbaijan left for Hajj

Visits to Saudi Arabia for Hajj from Azerbaijan start today, APA reports.

The first group of pilgrims left Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 05:45 a.m. local time.

Vusal Jahangiri, head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) and head of the Hajj Electronic System, told APA that the first group of pilgrims will arrive at 08:45 Saudi Arabia time:

"The last group of pilgrims will leave on June 22. In total, 1,440 Azerbaijani pilgrims will visit by 8 airplane flights. After the end of the Hajj pilgrimage, the pilgrims will return to their homeland on July 5-11. The last group of pilgrims will leave Medina on July 11.

Note that the acceptance of documents related to the pilgrimage starts on March 17. The visit package costs US $5750 for one person. There are no age restrictions for visiting.
