A conference on "Politicization of religion: harmful effects" was held organized by The State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The conference was attended by the Deputy Chairman of The State Committee on Religious Associations Sayavush Heydarov, executives of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology and Baku International Multiculturalism Centre, chairmen and religious figures of religious communities belonging to various confessions operating in the Republic.
At the conference, which began with a performance of Azerbaijan's National Anthem, the speakers extensively discussed the issue of state-religion relations in the country, as well as the treatment of individual religious communities towards each other.
