Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, stated that during his meeting with the Pope at the Vatican two days ago, he spoke about Azerbaijan’s victory, APA reports.
“Azerbaijan showed such heroism during the 44-day war that today the world wants to learn from it. Every achievement of this victory is thanks to your efforts. We owe our martyrs and veterans a great debt and must never forget them. You are our living heroes. May Allah have mercy on those who became martyrs for Azerbaijan. You have enabled us to drive pigs and other animals out of the mosques and raise the sound of Adhan (call to prayer). Today, the sounds of the Adhan come from the minarets of those mosques. This is thanks to you,” emphasized the Sheikh-ul-Islam during a meeting at the Caucasus Muslims Office with the families of martyrs and war veterans on the occasion of November 8 – Victory Day.
