An interreligious international conference titled "The Islamic World 2025 in the Kingdom of Belgium and Europe" has kicked off in Brussels, Belgium, APA reports.
The Azerbaijani delegation participating in the conference is led by the Sheikh of All Caucasus, Allahshukur Pashazade.
Within the framework of the conference, on March 6, a meeting was held between the Azerbaijani delegation and Wouter Beke - a member of the European Parliament, chair of Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the Minister of Health of Belgium - and the importance of intercultural and interreligious dialogue and aspects of cohabitation based on the principle of tolerance were emphasized.
Furthermore, Sheikh ul-Islam invited all European Parliament members, in person of MP Wouter Beke, to visit Azerbaijan's liberated territories and recommended that they witness the vandalism committed by Armenians in these areas over the past 30 years.
The meeting also featured speeches by Ravan Hasanov, Executive Director of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center, and Members of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) Javanshir Pashazade and Gudrat Hasanguliyev.
