Seminar held for journalists writing about religion in Azerbaijan

Seminar was held for journalists writing about religion in State Committee for the Work with Religious Associations of Azerbaijan, APA reports
Hidayet Orujov, head of committee stated that religion is a delicate sphere. There are a lot of religious themes in media recently. Orujov stated that Committee pays attention to all these themes and some of them are non-professional.
â€œWe decided to hold seminar to enlighten journalists and qualifying them. Approximately 250-300 materials on religion are published in the countryâ€™s media within a month according to calculations. There are few materials for religious enlightenment among them. There are a lot of applications on religious themes in Azerbaijan. Sometimes there are propagandas on fanatism, prejudice, religious intolerableness and materials distorted main points of religion in media. One of the reasons of them is a preparation of these materials by non-professional journalists,â€ he said./APA/
