Hidayat Orujov receives representatives of CE Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for protection of national minorities

Chief of State Committee for Religious Affairs Hidayat Orujov received the representatives of the Council of Europe Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the protection of national minorities, the committee told APA. Hidayat Orujov said that the framework convention on defense of national minorities is implemented in Azerbaijan, defense of national, religious minorities is ensured, policy of protecting national minorities, improving their language and culture, defending their traditions and customs is pursued regularly.
â€œThe rights of citizens in Azerbaijan are not violated. There are enough items in Azerbaijani legislation which protect religious and national minorities, their national and cultural heritage,â€ he said.
The visitors highly appreciated Azerbaijani realities in the sphere of protection of national and religious minorities. /APA/
