President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order on the conscription of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan for active military service from October 1 to 30, 2026, and the discharge of active military servicemen to the reserve, APA reports.
According to the Order, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan born in 2008 who have reached the age of 18 by the day of conscription (including that day), as well as those born in 1996–2007 who are under the age of 30, who have not undergone active military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who are not entitled to deferment from conscription for active military service or have not been exempted from conscription for active military service, will be called up for active military service from October 1 to 30, 2026.
Active military servicemen who have completed the term of service stipulated in Article 38.1.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Military Duty and Military Service” will be discharged to the reserve from October 1 to 30, 2026.
The Cabinet of Ministers shall take the measures provided for by legislation to implement this Order.
