Baku. Ali Ahmadov – APA-Economics. In the coming 8-10 years, one of the main directions in development of ICT sector in Azerbaijan will be connected with development of e-government services, said ICT Minister Ali Abbasov, APA-Economics reports.
To him, today, about 35% of 417 e-government services adopted in Azerbaijan are given in e-form: ‘Our goal is to totally electronize these services by 2020 and create a chance for 80% of population to access these services. Now, this figure makes 20% in Azerbaijan’.
Besides, Abbasov made public the schedule of internet connection in secondary schools. To him, 40% of schools have joined the Internet, so far: ‘It is planned to join all the schools to the Internet by the end of next year’.
