Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-ECONOMICS. Cargo transportation via sea transport made 5.1 mln tonnes in January-may of 2013, down 5.3% compared to last year.
State Statistical Committee says 58.8% of cargo was oil, 41.2% - dry cargo and all transportations were realized on foreign links.
5.3 mln tons of shipping and unshipping works were conducted during the accounting period, up 1.4% from previous year. International transit cargos rose 0.9%.
During this period, 4.9 thousand passengers were transported via sea transport, down 7.55 from a year earlier.
