Deputy Minister of Communication and IT Elmir Valizadeh said that the event aims to demonstrate successes of local companies of Azerbaijan: “Innovations of the exhibition include national pavilions, start-up, new technologies park. Within the event, an international conference on cyber security will be held. Under the support of ITU, the conference will focus on cooperation among the countries, problems and perspectives. The event will be attended by Ministers of Communication and IT of different countries”.
Deputy Minister added that another event to be held within the Bakutel-2013 will be the meeting of heads of Communication Administrations of Regional Communication Union. This meeting will focus on discussion of usage perspectives of 694-790 MHz frequencies of teleradiobroadcasting.
Moreover, regional internet governance forum will also be held in Azerbaijan for the first time.
At the same time, bilateral forum and round tables such as Azerbaijan-US ICt forum, “b2b” event between Azerbaijan and Italy, as well as next round table with South Korean Information and Security Agency are planned to be held within Bakutel-2013. Korean specialists will share their experiences with Azerbaijani counterparts.
Area of the Bakutel-2013 to be held in Baku Expo Center has been extended by 35% and 300 companies from 28 countries will attend the event.
