Azerbaijan to attend IMO Maritime Safety Committee’s session

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijani delegation led by the chief of the State Maritime Administration Gudrat Gurbanov will attend the 92nd session of Maritime Safety Committee of the International Maritime Organization, said the SMA press service.

 

APA reports that discussions on International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, International Convention for Safe Containers, International Convention on Load Lines and Annex B of the Convention, International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention will be held at the session, to be held in London on June 12-21. 

 

Moreover, the topics will include measures for security at Sea, determination of standards on building of new ships, state flag control, radio connection, improvement of searching and rescue operations at sea, navigation security and etc.

 

During the visit, Gurbanov will meet with IMO Secretary-General Koji Sekimizu and heads of maritime administrations of several countries.
