Baku. Aynur Aliyeva – APA-Economics. Autumn session of the Universal Postal Union in Bern (Switzerland) will last until November 15.
According to Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, representatives of postal administrations of over 100 countries, different international organizations and other regional postal unions attend the session. Azerbaijan is represented by employee of the Ministry of communication and IT, senior adviser of postal sector Nasir Hamidov.
Hamidov was selected as a member of composition of the UPU Board of Trustees (BOT) at the session of UPU Postal Operations Council (POC) last year.
Hamidov says BOT meetings also will be held during the session. One of the main issues to be discussed at this meeting is to discuss projects submitted by the world countries to the UPU Secretariat, as well as initial, interim and final reports on application of these projects and other documents and pass decisions. As the information considered at the Council was secret, only members of the Board and representatives of Secretariat can consider them.
Many decisions are planed to be passed at the event.
Remind that BOT includes representatives of 9 countries – Azerbaijan, US, India, Portugal, Ghana, Switzerland, Nigeria, Chili and Australia.
