Azerbaijan adopts law "On customs tariff"

Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. The new draft law "On customs tariff" has been discussed at today’s meeting of Azerbaijani Parliaments.

APA reports that Committee Chairman Ziyad Samadzade gave information about the project.

The document contains 5 chapters and 23 articles. The Committee Chairman said that the main objectives of the adoption of the document are to adjust commodity structure of import, to ensure favorable ratio of foreign currency incomes and expenses, to protect the country's economy from the adverse effects of foreign competition to facilitate the integration to the world economy.

The document says that seasonal duties may be applied in certain circumstances for operative regulation of exports and imports. Following the discussions, the draft law was approved in the second reading. Then the draft law was announced to be ready and was passed in the third reading.
