Azerbaijanâ€™s open digital main package to broadcast only national TV channels from next year

Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies told APA-Economics that taking into account that the tests have been completed successfully and 97% of population is covered by open digital TV broadcasting, the open digital package will include only national TV channels (AzTV, Idman (Sports) Azerbaycan, Medeniyyet (Culture), Ictimai (Public TV), Xezer, Azad AzÉ™rbaycan (Free Azerbaijan) and TRT 1). For broadcasting other channels, the companies broadcasting these programs and citizens should sign agreement.

The ministry said that works on organization of additional channels in other regions are underway and information will be released.
