Aydin Aliyev said the decision passed on switching to Euro 4 standard in Azerbaijan is very important.
“If this decision is passed, it means that there is a need for it. Euro 2 was the lowest standard. Switching to Euro 4 will increase requirements for import of automobiles, serve the protection of environment,” he said.
Chairman of the Committee said switching to this standard will also help solve traffic jam problem.
“Europe is already switching from Euro 5 to Euro 6. This is a normal decision for a developing country,” he said.
