First phase of new Baku port to be set in operation next year

To him, the process is being realized on the basis of President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions: ‘The existing Baku port will be moved 70 km south-west from the city center. The works will be carried out in accordance with the international standards. At the same time, this port will contribute to acceleration of transportations, it will help to modernize and provide the people with comfortable work place. So, income of participants will increase as a result of cargo transportation and a very favorable atmosphere will be created for the business’.

‘Fraternal port will share its practice to another port in connection with loading and unloading works. This will be a significant step taken for deep study of our ports’, said Turkish Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali YÄ±ldÄ±rÄ±m.

Kazakh Minister of Transport and Communications Askar Jumagaliyev noted the importance of “Fraternal ports” Memorandum: ‘The document will provide the improvement of ports of the three countries, increase the transit and etc.’
