Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Manama (Bahrain) is currently hosting the 2013 United Nations Public Services Forum. Azerbaijan is represented at the event by Deputy ICT Minister Elmir Valizadeh.
According to APA-Economics, the forum to last till June 27, has been dedicated to the title “Transformative eGovernment and Innovation: Creating a Better Future for All”.
In line with the Millennium Development Goals, the United Nations is dedicated to promoting the exchange of experiences, ideas and best practices concerning innovations in governance and public administration in order to contribute to social and economic development.
The Forum is organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), Division for Public Administration and Development Management (DPADM) in collaboration with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN ESCWA) and in partnership with the hosting Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
