Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. IT sector has doubled in Azerbaijan over the past 5 years, it was noted in the annual report of the ICT Ministry, APA-Economics reports.
The report says that in comparison to 2012, the sector grew by 8.6% in the country. Retail sale of electronic and telecommunication equipments and their spare parts jumped 54.8%, production of electronic and radio elements – 14.2%, retail sale of computers, computer peripheral equipments and software – 15.3%.
Currently, share of production sphere in IT sector makes 30.6%, service-trade area – 69.4%, while this ratio made 20.5% and 79.5%, respectively.
