The United Kingdom has lifted sanctions imposed on Azerbaijan's Zangazur vessel, APA reports.
According to information released by the UK government on July 7, the Zangazur oil tanker has been removed from the UK's sanctions list.
It was noted that the vessel had previously been placed under sanctions over allegations of "supporting the destabilization of Ukraine, including threatening its territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence, and assisting the Russian government in obtaining revenue."
It should be recalled that earlier, by a decision of the Council of the European Union, sanctions imposed on the Zagatala vessel owned by the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), as well as the Shusha, Karabakh, Khankendi, and Zangazur vessels owned by a joint venture between ASCO and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), were also lifted.
