According to APA-Economics, Minister Ali Abbasov informed the guests about the works carried out in Azerbaijan’s ICT sector. He said that launching of Azerspace-1 into orbit would be the beginning of new period in this sphere. Touching upon preparation works for the launching of next telecommunication satellite into orbit, the minister noted that Azerbaijani-Japan cosmic sector seminar would contribute to development of relations between the countries in this sphere. Abbasov expressed that Japan can be a good partner for Azerbaijan on various segments of ICT sector.
In turn, Takashi Sasakawa, Senior Vice President, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, thanked the Ministry of Communications and IT of Azerbaijan for support in organization of seminar and noted that main purpose in holding of such events in Azerbaijan is provision of development of Azerbaijani-Japan economic relations and contribution to bilateral cooperation. Expressing satisfaction of ICT sector’s development in Azerbaijan, the guest noted that there is favorable condition for mutual collaboration.
‘Japan is ready to share practice with Azerbaijan. I appreciate launching of first telecommucation satellite into orbit. Azerbaijan has big potential in this direction. In the near future the country will become regional space industry center’, added Sasakawa.
