Second Airbus A-340 aircraft to be brought to Azerbaijan in May

Spokesman for AZAL Maharram Safarli told APA-ECONOMICS that in May 2013, next Airbus A-340 is supposed to add to the air park of the company: ‘In addition, starting from May, AZAL will buy 6 Brazilian-made Embraer aircrafts. 2 of them will be Embraer-170 and 4 - Embraer-190’.

Note that, one of Airbus A-340 has already been brought Baku and currently, aircraft personnel conduct training flights. The acquisition of this aircraft has created the conditions for AZAL to implement the first direct flights over long distances. Thus, Baku-Beijing-Baku flights, to be launched on May 10, will be operated by Airbus A-340 (and the Boeing-767). Along with this, in 2014, Boeing-787 Dreamliner will stand in the air park of AZAL.

Remind that, at the present time, air park of AZAL comprises 7 Airbus A-320, 4 - Boeing-757-200, 3 - Airbus A-319, 2 - Boeing-767-300ER and 1 - Airbus A-340.
