OSCE: Azerbaijan plans to build commercial vehicle parking areas complete with one-stop-shop facilities at Red Bridge BCP

Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. The Customs administration of Azerbaijan is planning to reduce vehicle congestion at the Red Bridge BCP with Georgia by building commercial vehicle parking areas complete with

one-stop-shop facilities, it was stated in ‘Handbook of Best Practices at Border Crossings – A Trade and Transport Facilitation Perspective’, published by OSCE.

 

According to APA-Economics, the document reflects the state of OSCE member countries in customs sphere, provision of customs services with effective work, measures to improve cooperation in trade and transport sectors.  
 

 

‘Azerbaijan is also developing an e-customs project.
Azerbaijan acceded to the Revised Kyoto Convention on 3 February 2006 with the intention to implement the WCO's New Framework of Standards. Since this date, work has aligned the Azerbaijan Customs Code with the Convention.
Preparing and implementing customs risk management has
been part of recent customs reforms and modernization
processes in a number of States, including Azerbaijan,
Georgia, Kazakhstan and Serbia’, told the report.
