New multi-lane motor road project developing in Baku

He says 6 underground tunnels are being constructed in the new road junction by using modern technologies. Moreover, an alternative road in parallel with Heydar Aliyev Avenue in connection with the 1^st European Olympic Games will be launched in 2015: “Head of the state passed decision on it and the projects is being developed”.

New road will start in front of the residence of President in Ganjlik, pass through the area that Leather Factory and connect with Zabrat road junction. This road will be multi-lane.

Mammadov stressed that more than 100,000 transport facilities are brought to Azerbaijan per year and major part are used in Baku. Therefore, transport system of the city must regularly be improved. He also underlined that a pavement near Shafa stadium and a tunnel in Heydar Aliyev Avenue will be constructed. According to him, this tunnel will simplify the movement of vehicles in Ziya Bunyadov Avenue to Babek Avenue.
