New airport to be built in northern region of northern Azerbaijan

According to him, the airport will be important for northern region of Azerbaijan from the viewpoint of both tourism and foreign capital investments.

Deputy head of Executive Power said that the researches are conducted in neighbour Khachmaz, Siyazan and Shabran. In Guba, the airport could be built in the area covering Dellekkend, Aghbil and Vladimirovka villages.

Abidov noted that approximately 500-600 ha area is required for airport: “This area must be located on the side of river to use construction materials. Executive Power submitted the acceptable areas for airport to specialists from Baku. The side of Gudyalchay River is more acceptable for construction of airport. Examples of soil were sent to expertise. The specialists inspect the area covering some villages”.
