Nakhchivan to host RCU and ITU assemblies

communication economy commission of Regional Communication Union (RCU) on CIS will be held in Nakhchivan, the website of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic reported.

Various directions of national legislation of the RCU member-states, issues on unification of inter-operators tariffs to completion of international challenges, calculation of prices of challenges in fixed and mobile networks on the basis of LRIC model, economic aspects of ICT sector and information society’s development in Azerbaijan will be discussed at the meeting. At the same time, inter-operator mobile and fixed communication services market will be analyzed.

Moreover, the rules on regulation of digital; broadcasting services, the issues on regulation of usage of radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbits, human resources development, improvement of statistical performances on ICT will be discussed at the meeting.

Along with this, on April 24-26, three-day seminar International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on “conformation of ICT performances to international standards” will be held in Nakhchivan. Both events are expected to be attended by 33 representatives from 33 countries.
