The main objective of the conference is to discuss the best practices and the current trends of cooperation among government agencies in the field of e-Government, study as-is situation and share knowledge on the application of information and communication technologies and innovative management practices in customs and other spheres of economy.
The agenda of the conference includes the following topics: "Approaches to e-Government Project”, "Organization of e-services in public sector”, "ICT in customs and e-Customs Services”, "Role of ICT in Customs to Business Partnership.”
102 representatives from 55 countries and 5 international organizations will take part in the conference. Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aydin Aliyev, Deputy ICT Minister Elmir Valizadeh, UNDP Resident Representative Antonius Broek and head of European regional office for strengthening WTO potential Valeri Mikeladze delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
