Baku. Ali Ahmedov – APA-Economics. A unique project will be implemented in real estate sector in Baku, this week. According to APA-Economics, one of the buildings will be relocated due to road expansion and reconstruction works in the capital. The historical building in Fuzuli Street will be moved 10.6 meters away. The relocation operation will be carried out by Dutch Bresser Eurasia Company.

Chairman of Bresser Eurasia Leon Sweegers says this building is the biggest and heaviest building among the buildings which were relocated by this company. Its length is 52 meters, width – 32m, height – 20 meters and the weight – 18,000 tonnes: “We relocate the biggest and heaviest building. This worldly record will be marked down in Azerbaijan and we’ll proud of it”.

Founder of Bresser Eurasia Company Hermann Bresser noted that the relocation process was created by Bresser Eurasia and has engaged in this work already for 30 years. The company has carried out 30 building relocations: “In many cases, the relocations are related with having of these buildings cultural and historical values and their protection. For example, we moved the building, which was constructed in 1904 Holland’s Rosenthal city, to 1,500 meters distance”.

The long distance was 12 km – greater villa was relocated. The projects of the company also include one of the stadiums in Netherlands.

Bresser said that the relocation of that building has two aims: “one of them is to expand the road and the other is to protect the building. The company’s advantage is that if the building is in the normal state it can carry the building not depending on date of construction”.

Note that the building was constructed in 1908 and belonged to Hajinski brothers who were millionaires of Baku. On April 18, the building will be ready for relocation.

Bresser noted that the relocation will be an exemplary work from the standpoint of reconstruction works in Baku. For relocation, 210 hydraulic lifting plants were installed under the building. Via these plants, the building is raised up some millimeters and 9 hydraulic plants will move it to the necessary place. Relocation process will be last 5 days. The processes will be recorded in non-stop regime.

One of the most interesting points is that the preparatory works were carried out in such a clear and cautiously that, the building will not suffer from even the 8-magnitude earthquake: ‘We are 100% confident that this process will be in order. If Bresser Eurasia has 1% of doubt in success of work, the process will not be started’.

Relocation process is carried out in the CIS for the first time. All the process is carefully followed by the president. Even at the end of last year, on December 29, President Ilham Aliyev visited the site to get acquaint with the preparatory works: ‘Conduction of the preparation works was interesting for the President himself’.

As to any special difficulties related to relocation process, too thick foundation of the building – approximately 10 m surprised them: ‘The foundation of buildings is not such’. Within the framework of the preparatory works, Bresser Eurasia renewed the foundation and consequently, the building will stand on new place better: ‘We can surely say that next life of the building will be longer than the previous’.

The company also intends to take part in other projects in Azerbaijan. Sweegers noted that though there is not any planned exact project in this sphere yet, there are some ideas. One of the currently discussed interesting ideas is to lay aside the building temporarily and return it after the construction of the garage: ‘I am also drive a car now and I know that driving is the biggest problem’.

Moreover, in case of necessity it will be possible to turn the building and etc: ‘In short, opportunities and technologies of our company allow us do what we want.’

The company will share its experience with Azerbaijani specialists. According to Sweegers, Bresser Eurasia plans to open representation in Azerbaijan and hold trainings for local exports. Next week, the company will meet with the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan and sign cooperation agreement. According to that agreement, the company will be advisor of the Union.
