Chairman of Azerbaijan Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev told APA-Economics that most of the drugs brought to Azerbaijan are detained in the southern border – thus, on the border with Iran: ‘Even when the drugs are revealed on other directions, it is found out that they are transported from Iran’s territory’.
The meeting also focused on easement of movement at customs check-point and elimination of queues there, as well as intensification of control, prevention of illicit good turnover.
It was decided to hold meeting between customs heads of both countries not less than 6 months, and between local customs heads once in a month.
