Baku. Nijat Mustafayey – APA-Economics. 14.7 million cargo and 69.4 million passengers were transported via Silk Way corridor (TRACECA) in Azerbaijan in 2012.
State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that in comparison to 2012, the cargo transportation via this corridor increased 5.6%, passenger transportation jumped 7.2% in the reporting period.
44.9% of cargo transportation fell to share of motor transport, 35.9% to the railway transport, 19.2% - sea transport, said the Committee. 29.5% or 4.3 ,mln tonnes of transported cargo fell to share of transit cargos.
AZN 115.4 million got from the cargo transportation, AZN 23.2 million from the passenger transportation and in comparison to 2012 it grew by 7.25% and 14.7%.
