Baku. Nijat Mustafayey – APA-Economics. 56.9 million cargo and 260.9 million passengers were transported via Silk Way corridor (TRACECA) in Azerbaijan in 2012.
State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that in comparison to 2012, the cargo transportation via this corridor increased 5.5%, passenger transportation jumped 8% in the reporting period.
44.3% of cargo transportation fell to share of motor transport, 37.5% to the railway transport, 18.2% - sea transport, said the Committee.
AZN 443.2 million got from the cargo transportation, AZN 92 million from the passenger transportation and in comparison to 2012 it grew by 16.1% and 10.8%.
