Baku hosts IT forum organized by IBM Company

According to APA-Economics, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Elmir Valizadeh spoke about dynamical development of ICT sector and projects in this sphere and noted that the main goal is to reflect the development of sector in other spheres: “We widely use application of new technologies, for example, launch of satellite into orbit in February”.

Valizadeh also noted that Azerbaijan cooperates with several international IT companies.

IBM Sales Director Sergei Tabulin informed about the company and noted that its revenue in 2012 made $ 104.5 bln, profit - $16.6 bln, growth of revenue in BRIK (Brasil, Russia, India and China) countries made 7%. He also spoke about future plans of the company: “the development share of company in developed country is expected to reach 30% in 2015 and Azerbaijan is among them”.
