Azerbaijani President receives heads of two French companies

Baku – APA-Economics. On April 15, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received President and CEO of the French company ASTRIUM François Auque and Director of International Development of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company, Jean-Pierre Talamoni, APA-ECONOMICS reports.

The French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Pascal Monnier praised the launch of the first artificial satellite of Azerbaijan into orbit a historic event and noted that the French would continue to support the space programs of our country.

Auque informed the President about the projects implemented by the ASTRIUM company.

Considering the launch of the Azerbaijan’s first satellite into orbit as the beginning of a new stage in the development of the space industry, the head of the state thanked them for support. President Aliyev said that France is one of the partners of Azerbaijan in many areas. He expressed confidence in development of information and communication technologies sphere and cooperation in the field of space technology will continue in future.
