Azerbaijan ranks 120th for incoming internet traffic

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Ookla Company made next rating on average speed of internet on the basis of users’ surveys and data of Speedtest.net service.

According to NetIndex rating, incoming internet traffic in Azerbaijan exceeded 4.02 Mbit/sec. This index made 3.74 Mbit/sec. last month. At the same time, the index on Baku reached 4.31 Mbit/sec., on Sumgayit – 2.60 Mbit/sec. The results are based on experimental researches conducted by the company from March 15 to April 13.

For testing, 337,548 unique IP addresses were selected. Azerbaijan has ranked 120^th for incoming internet traffic. Top three includes Hong Kong (44.04 <bit/sec.), Singapore (40.23 Mbit/sec.) and Lithuania (37.95 Mbit/sec.).

Speed of outgoing internet traffic made 1.68 Mbit/sec.

Azerbaijan has ranked 111^th for outgoing internet traffic. This index on Baku was 1.85 Mbit/sec., on SUmgayit - 0. 55 Mbit/sec. Top three includes Andorra (32.24 Mbit/sec.), Lithuania (30.48 Mbit/sec.) and South Korea (29.67 Mbit/sec.).
