Azerbaijan and Switzerland seek prospects for cooperation in transport sphere

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. The meeting has been held at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Transport with head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research and Federal Councilor of Switzerland Johann Schneider-Ammann.

The Ministry of Transport told APA-Economics that receiving the delegation, Deputy Minister of Transport spoke about Azerbaijan’s development in the recent years, the implementation of large-scale projects and progress achieved in international integration.

Informing about all the spheres of transport sector – railway, road transport and highways, the Deputy Minister underlined the importance of further development of mutual cooperation in this direction.

They also discussed the policy pursed by the Ministry of Transport in the sphere of transport-road complex, as well as improvement of railways in Azerbaijan, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
