Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. A meeting has been held with the delegation led by Hungarian Minister of National Development Zsuzsa Németh, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.
APA-Economics reports quoting the Ministry that Azerbaijan and Hungary discussed the issues of cooperation in ICT sphere.
Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov gave detailed information about the current state of ICT sector, the prospects for future development of space industry in the country, new projects implemented during the “ICT year” and successes achieved in “E-government” project. Noting that “Azerspace” telecommunications satellite was launched into orbit in February this year, the Minister said that this satellite will play an important role in Azerbaijan’s future development. The minister invited the relevant ministry and IT companies of Hungary to annual “Bakutel” exhibition and conference in Baku.
Abbasov also added that Azerbaijan is carrying out activities for the establishment of High-Tech Park in Azerbaijan. The Institute of Information Technology will be inaugurated in the next academic year and State Fund for IT Development soon.
Abbasov also noted the favorable environment and opportunities for investment to this sphere in this country.
Noting Azerbaijan’s dynamical development in ICT sphere, Zsuzsa Németh expressed confidence for further continuation of cooperation between the two countries. The Hungarian minister underlined the importance of complex measures and joint cooperation for positive achievements in ICT sphere.
