Azerbaijan-based construction companies increase Q1 works by 29%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In January-March, 2013, Azerbaijan-based construction companies increased the volume of the works by 28.8% to AZN 1,505.8 mln.

State Statistical Committee says 71.7% of conducted works was construction, reconstruction and enlargement, 16.1% - capital repair,. 2.7% - current repair, 9.5% - other construction. Non-state owned companies conducted 8.9% of total construction works.

Note that average list number of workers in construction sector rose 17.3% to 93,200. Average monthly salary soared 9.8% to AZN 595. Salary of workers in civil construction works rose 18.1%, in specialized works – 17.5% and construction of buildings – 5.1%.
