Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. 16,4 mln cargo and 124,5 mln people were transported in January this year by enterprises and individuals functioning in Azerbaijan’s transport section.
The State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that cargo transportation decreased by 0.5% and passenger transportation increased by 8.7% compared to relevant period of 2012.
Cargo transportation via motor transport increased by 7.6%, 12.9% via air transport passenger transportation - 8.5% via motor transport, 10.6% by metro, 10% via sea transport and 11% via air transport.
