Azerbaijani scientists offer establishment of Transit transport-cargo bourse

The presentation prepared by the Director of Cybernetics Institute of National Sciences Academy Academician Telman Aliyev and PhD on physics and mathematics Adalat Pashayev considers establishment of Transit Transport-Cargo bourse, which will apply digital modeling for optimizing cargo carrying through the country.

According to presentation, a lot of cargos are carried via transport facilities to north, south, west and east through the territory of the country. In several cases, the transport facilities, which deliver cargo to the points, return empty. Besides, empty lorries, wagons, planes, which unload their cargos pass through Azerbaijan’s territory: “These transport facilities may be useful for carrying of cargos”.

For realization of this idea it is offered to establish an information system directed to facilitation of cargo transportation in empty vehicles. The system includes information about both empty vehicles passing through the country and the cargos, demanded to carry.

The vehicles and cargos must be structurized in the to-be-created information system. So, mathematical model will determine type of cargo and vehicle, which will carry that cargo. If the offer satisfies both sides, they will close a transaction: ‘Creation of mathematical model will allow optimization of transportations. Consequently, empty vehicles will be used maximally’.

The authors think that in future, such information system can be developed and turned to bourse.
