To him, at present time, about 350 water and sewerage projects are being realized in 38 cities and regions of the country. 17 of them are implemented at the cost of the state loan, 21 – at the cost of the WB, ADB, IDB and other organizations.
The latest technologies are used in the implementation of these projects. Implementation of all these projects is expected to complete within 2-3 years. By the way, a number of large projects are carried out at the cost of budget funds in direction of water supply of nearly 4 million people living in Baku, Sumgait and Khirdalan cities, as well as towns and villages in Absheron Peninsula. One of them will be completed by the end of 2013. It is name is Takhta Su Anbari (Wooden Dam Stock) worth $1.4 billion. With the launch of Takhtakorpu-Jeyranbatan channel, additional water supply with 18 cubic meters / second will be created, which will allow full supply of Baku and Absheron peninsula with potable water.
Another project is Oguz-Gabala-Baku water pipe. Its length is 262 km. The project costs $1 bn. Thanks to this project, share of population using continuous water supply increased by more than 40% and exceeded 60%. In addition, in order to meet the needs of the settlements on the banks of the Kura and Araz rivers the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources have installed ​​treatment plants in 221 villages.
