“The resumption of passenger train services between Tbilisi and Baku is very important for Georgia–Azerbaijan relations, people-to-people contacts, and the development of tourism,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a briefing, APA’s local bureau reports.
He noted that all details regarding the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway have been agreed with the Azerbaijani side.
“A joint enterprise will be created between Georgia and Azerbaijan, and the operation of the railway will be ensured in this format,” Kobakhidze added.
Note that starting from May 26, daily passenger train services on the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku route will resume after a six-year break.
