Azerbaijani Minister becomes IMPACT member

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. ITU World Telecom 2012 international exhibition and conference was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

According to Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, the distinguished guests headed by ITU Secretary-General Hamadoun TourÃ© and the Preisdent of Burkina Faso Blaise Compaore visited Azerbaijanâ€™s pavilion, familiarized with the projects implemented in the country and appreciated Azerbaijanâ€™s stand and ICT products and solutions demonstrated here, as well initiatives.

Within the exhibition and conference, Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov held bilateral meetings with ITU Secretary-General, Ministers of Communication and Information Technologies of India, Iran, Egypt and heads of IT Corporation and companies. Thereafter, he made speech on successes in ICT sphere, mutual cooperation and future perspectives at the ministerial meeting.

Then, a presentation on the topic of â€œAzerbaijan: Letsâ€™ change black gold to human goldâ€ was held with the participation of foreign guests.

Besides, next meeting of the International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats (IMPACT) was held and Ali Abbasov was adopted a member of this organization. Azerbaijan was represented by delegation consisting by 63 persons and led by Minister Ali Abbasov, as well 20+ IT companies, private, state and NGOs at the exhibition and conference which gathers more than 700 companies from 193 countries of the world.

Azerbaijanâ€™s national pavilion was organized at the area of 230 mÂ².
