ADBâ€™s project on development of water supply and sewage system in Goychay to be completed in 18 months

Goychay. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. The works implemented in Goychay region under â€œWater Supply and Sanitation Investment Programâ€, realized by Asian Development Bank, will be completed within 18 months, said Vijay Padmanabhan, Senior Urban Development Specialist at Asian Development Bank, APA reports.

To him, after 18 months, family in Goychay will be provided with drinking water 24 hours a day: â€˜At the same time, together with the Azersu, we are building sewer system in Goychay, which will be connected to every house in the regionâ€™.

Note that, within the framework of the program, quality of water supply and sewage-sanitarian services will be provided in Agdash, Goychay, Nakhchivan, Beylagan, Agjabedi and Balakan. Within framework of the program, Azerbaijani government will be allocated $600 mln. $375 million of it has already been approved. The first tranche makes $75 million (Agdash, Goychay and Nakhchivan), second - $ 300 million. $ 130 million from this amount has been considered for Nakhchivan, $170 million - Agdash, Goychay and Beylagan regions.
