EU-level aviation agreement with Azerbaijan to be signed by 2015

Baku. Victoria Dementeva â€“ APA-Economics. The European Commission proposed to complete EU-level aviation agreement with Azerbaijan by 2015.
APA Economics reported quoting the press service of the European Commission.
The European Commission proposed member-states, as well as Azerbaijan to grant the Commission a general negotiating mandate for the remaining neighborhood countries and to give the EU aviation industry better access to business opportunities in new markets.

In case of successful negotiation and signing an aviation agreement, this proposal will give Azerbaijan Airlines the possibility to be a part of the EU airspace. The Agreement will be the basis to further strengthen aviation relations as well as transportation procedures.

In July 2009 the European Union and Azerbaijan also signed an aviation agreement which will give all European airlines the possibility to fly between any EU Member State and Azerbaijan.
